From my point of view this application is ok, but the Browser version is better. Anyway I like this application. The best feature of this application is the seamless integration with MeisterTask.

Do not buy. Crashes on startup every time. Back in the day when it worked it was painfully slow on ipad2 with clean tasks. The only reason for the star is the app store does not allow 0 star ratings. Too bad, Im a fan of the web service, and the interface for this app is good.

Lets get one thing straight. I am a huge fan of the MindMeister web app. Its awesome. Allows me to do work on any workstation, across any device. It is well designed, clean, intuitive to use etc - all good stuff. Unfortunately this review is about the iOS app itself. Spending top $$ (relative terms) to attain an iOS version of the webapp seemed like a smart idea from my side. But after using it for a month I must say this is a very poor effort from MindMeister team. Here are the shortcomings I feel attribute to such a low rating from my side 1) Text entry is a disaster - text entry in an app such as this is the basic bread and butter item. The fact that the team MindMeister has failed to implement a more intuitive way to enter text is shocking. And even with what is implemented - entering text is extremely difficult. For example, if you enter a full sentence, the width of the node allows only 1 text to appear per line. Which would be passable - only that you only get to see the 1st line of text (ie the first word). So imagine that, the rest of the sentence is not even viewable as you keep typing. This is basic stuff guys - come on, get it right! 2) No undo button - dont you dare delete or add something by mistake, else there is no way for you to bring it back. 3) Random errors - it tells me that my 2 of my mindmaps are not synced correctly to the web. Ok. But at least tell me what the problem is so that I can fix it. Nope - nothing given 4) Crashes - it will crash once every 2 days, which is one too many times to my liking. Look, Im not against the company MindMeister. As a matter of fact they have done a fantastic job with the web tool allowing us to create some rather awesome mindmaps on the go. I pay for that service and will continue doing so as it helps me personally and professionally. But this app - its extremely buggy and doesnt do simple things right. This app just got an update - so that it would work on the retina enabled new iPAD. Before this the last update was in November. I would recommend waiting for another few months to see if these guys get this app right - finally! In the mean time, use the web app version - its works wonderful in Safari. And the only thing you lose out on is the extra real estate this app has over the web version. Oh and if you are not a paying member then you have a limit on number of maps you can have on the web. The app is so slow, does not sync quickly, and does crash all the time. The Mindmeister team needs to fix the spacing issue as well. It is a great feature on the web app. Agree with previous posts, the web based app is amazing and has changed my life. This app is not very good and makes me feel frustrated because I want the functionality of the web app, the app is on my ipad, but every time I open it I get nothing from it and just shut it down.

Crashes tons of times! Wastes time and defeats the purpose! Although the design, web app and utilities are great, this issue needs to be fixed on the ipad version for it to have any value. Otherwise its worthless and not worth your time

I agree with some of the below comments but overall I think the app has a good potential if the crashes bug gets totally fix... So far I love it.. Keep the updates coming...

The app is good Buggy though, Often when I go out of a mind map, I get a weird Gray screen Also the web and the iPad app seem to have inconsistent features, e.g on the web app you cannot fill the shape with colour as you can on the iPad app, and vice versa for the text coulor. Odd. The app needs to be consistent with web app and less buggy

Awesome app!! .... Great for brainstorming, capturing models and complex structures of data in an easy and dynamic way...

I really like the ability to quickly capture info and build trees and linkages. It would be good if you could more easily combine maps and move them around

Ive tried alot of brainstroming apps but this one is the best.

This application always creates copies which deletes what you did and slows you down expecially when you work with friends. Lets not forget about how much it crashes. Theyre many other flaws, but for now, this is some problems they should solve. So i dont recommend you downloading. ( sorry for my poor english because i am not very good at it)

Common guys, this is not bad at all. Nice and clean design, easy to understand and use. Several suggestions though: 1) PLEASE dont move the entire map, anytime I need to open an attachment. This is really annoying when you need to keep visible many items on the screen and you dont want to zoom out all the time 2) Please make attached photos possible to see in the full screen mode 3) Please introduce built-in browser for attached links. It really does not help to switch back and forth between two apps Thank you for your attention!

I use this app primarily to keep a birds eye view of my business, including clients and contractors. I sync it with my (free) MindMeister online account. The interface is well designed and fast to use on the iPad. I especially like the minimal set of "recently used" icons available in the one-click editor. Good use of minimal space, in a way that responds to my usage patterns automatically. Really easy to copy and paste existing nodes as well, or drag and reposition nodes and branches. Ive never had a problem with syncing on this app on the iPad 1. In fact, I recently had a restore from backup fail, and had to sync and restore my configuration manually. MindMeister was one of the apps that didnt need any tinkering - all my settings and maps were synced with my online account, and it downloaded them the first time I opened the app. More time saved.

This app forces you to open an account. Yeah its free. But when I bought this app it was self contained on my iPad. It they wanted to add a feature that you could make a free account. That would have been fine. But updating the app then making you make an account. Turns this app to useless.

I use mapping exercises to begin every project, and MindMeister is now my software of choice. Syncing across devices is critical. I have found the task and calendar feature useful but would like to be able sync across calendars - iCal, google, omni

Nice app, integrating it more into my process.

First time went quite well. Would like to have the undo feature for the iPad app.

An app like this should never have a recurring profit model, I want to only pay once and $10 max. Integration with google drive is a bit sloppy too and could be more streamlined.
